Mirror armoire – Doors mirrored armoire are loved by some and hated by others. While many people likes the convenience of a full length mirror and how they make a small room look bigger, others believe they are cheesy and dated. Are you tired of your old closet with sliding mirrored doors? Follow these step by step to removing them and prepare the mirror armoire for new doors.
Instructions remove door armoire: 1) Protect your hands with work gloves. 2) Apply masking tape on the mirror surfaces. If the mirrors break during removal, the tape will hold the pieces. 3) Lift the sliding mirrored doors of the upper and lower rail. The removal method varies depending on the type of door. Some can be removed by lifting them straight out of the rail, or some may require you to make a small lever. It is possible to see how the doors are kept on the rail by lifting the cabinet and looking at the back of the upper door rail. 4) Remove the screws that secure the rails of the upper and lower door mirror armoire in place using a screwdriver. 5) Remove the rails of the door. If a rail lock into place due to paint or sealant accumulated, use a screwdriver to release it. 6) Scrape any paint, sealant and other remaining loose debris on the closet door frame with a scraper.
