Rustic Farm Tables – Today, the trend is at rustic or raw wood tables. The authenticity of the wood is able to enhance the ambiance and fits all styles: classic, rustic, vintage or contemporary. But finding the perfect table is not so easy. Between the ideal size, the wood rendering, and the price, we find ourselves a little lost! We had already proposed to relook a rustic table with a new tray.
We start by making the plateau. To do this, saw the wooden boards to the desired size if this has not been done in store. Here we opted for 185 cm x 75 cm. Then align the boards on the floor making sure to position the top of the rustic farm tables face down. Use spacers between planks for a more rustic effect. Once this is done, place pieces of wood on the sides to hold the boards of the board. We go to the foot of the table: the 6 feet are fixed on a frame.
For the feet: 4 or 6 oak beams 70 cm long. The extra two feet are there only for aesthetic reasons. For the 4 main feet, we will make biases at each end. Realize the frame by fixing at the same time the 4 feet. Always glue, and then screw the small squares so that the whole is very solid. To reinforce the stability of the rustic farm tables, we added 2 beams inside the rectangular frame.
